-Camelot Meadows-
This venue is dedicated to Dr. Mark Baxa who tragically died of brain cancer at an early age. Watch the video below to learn more about our venue owner, Deborah Baxa's, journey in creating Camelot Meadows in his honor:
A Magical Place
When Deborah and Mark first saw the property together, it was in the evening during summer.
They walked through the bamboo forest to what was then the pasture and where their barn now stands. The horses came over to them and Deborah looked at her husband, feeling the magic of this place.
Both knew that this place was very special.
The Bamboo Forest
When people first see the bamboo forest, they are amazed at how much bamboo there is. In the evening, the bamboo trail is lit up and it is absolutely beautiful and surreal.
Deborah is often asked about the bamboo forest and how long it has been on the property. She’s done some research, and according to that information, the bamboo was first planted there around the late 1800s.
Bamboo grows quickly, so each year we harvest and donate our bamboo shoots which are edible and high in nutrition.
A Legacy Of Love
In honor of her late husband, this land was built to be shared and appreciated by others. To continue his legacy, Deborah has created a venue where people can come together and enjoy what she's built.
"Camelot Meadows is much more than just a business for me. It has a deeper meaning since I built this in memory of my late husband. I am honored and proud to host events here for the many special people I have met. It is personal for me and I hope my couples feel my passion to make their event perfect." -Deborah Baxa
All are welcome. Camelot Meadows is an all-inclusive and LGBTQ+-friendly venue.
Please enjoy this beautiful setting on Lake Wylie and feel the magic.
